خیلی وقتها پیش میآید که یک جمله انگلیسی میگوییم و ناگهان متوجه میشویم ساختار آن دقیقاً شبیه فارسی است؛ انگار فقط کلمهها را عوض کردهایم. این موضوع بین زبانآموزها بسیار رایج است و در واقع بخشی طبیعی از مسیر یادگیری زبان محسوب میشود. در زبانشناسی به این پدیده *تأثیر زبان مادری یا Language Transfer گفته میشود. یعنی مغز ما هنگام صحبت کردن به زبان دوم، ناخودآگاه از الگوهای زبان اول کمک میگیرد. همانطور که Odlin (1989)* اشاره میکند: «زبان مادری همیشه در پشتصحنه ذهن زبانآموز فعال است؛ گاهی کمککننده و گاهی ایجادکننده چالش.» این تأثیر ممکن است در واژگان، دستور زبان، کاربرد جمله یا حتی تلفظ دیده شود. مثلاً ترجمهای که از نظر معنایی درست است اما در انگلیسی طبیعی بهنظر نمیرسد، یا جملهای که ساختارش را از فارسی قرض گرفتهایم. گاهی هم جمله از نظر گرامری هیچ ایرادی ندارد، اما برای موقعیت انگلیسیزبانها قابل قبول یا رایج نیست. این همان حالتی است که میگوییم جمله “بوی ترجمه” میدهد؛ یعنی ذهن ما قبل از ساختن جمله انگلیسی، ابتدا جمله فارسی را ساخته و سپس آن را تبدیل به انگلیسی کرده است. جالب اینجاست که پژوهشهای یادگیری زبان این اتفاق را نشانهی ضعف نمیدانند. Selinker (1972) اصطلاح *Interlanguage را مطرح کرد و نوشت: «خطاهای زبانآموز نه نشانه شکست، بلکه نشانه رشد زبانی هستند.» یعنی زبانآموز در مرحلهای میان فارسی و انگلیسی قرار دارد و بهتدریج در حال ساختن یک سیستم زبانی مستقل است. طبیعی است که در این مرحله بخشهایی از زبان اول وارد زبان دوم شوند؛ درست مثل کسی که تازه در حال یاد گرفتن راه رفتن است و هنوز تعادلش کامل نشده. برای طبیعیتر شدن انگلیسی، مهمترین نکته افزایش input طبیعی است؛ هرچه بیشتر فیلم، پادکست و مکالمه واقعی گوش بدهیم، مغز بهتر الگوهای انگلیسی را ذخیره میکند و کمتر به سراغ فارسی میرود. نکته بعدی یادگیری عبارتهای آماده (chunks) است، زیرا همانطور که Michael Lewis* میگوید: «انگلیسیزبانها با قطعات آماده فکر میکنند، نه با تکتک کلمات.» توجه به *collocation*ها، تمرین بازنویسی جملههای خود، و گرفتن بازخورد حرفهای نیز کمک میکند جملهها بهمرور طبیعیتر شوند.در نهایت، باید یادمان باشد که ورود فارسی به انگلیسی نشانه اشتباه بودن نیست؛ نشانه این است که مغز ما در حال ساختن مسیرهای جدید زبانی است. یادگیری زبان فقط یاد گرفتن کلمات نیست؛ یاد گرفتن یک شیوه جدید برای بیان معناست. «زبان دوم یعنی یاد گرفتن راهی تازه برای فکر کردن، نه فقط مجموعهای از واژهها.»۷:۱۷
