Ahmad ibn Ishaq, a prominent follower of the eleventh Imam (as), narrated:"I visited Imam Hasan al-Askari (as) and asked him, 'O son of the Messenger of God, who is your successor?'
The Imam hurriedly went into his house and returned carrying a three-year-old boy whose face was shining like a full moon. He said, 'O Ahmad ibn Ishaq, if you were not an honorable person before God and His Hujjas, I would not show you this son of mine. His name and nickname are the same as those of the Prophet (s). He will fill the earth with justice just as it was filled with injustice.'
I asked, 'O my master, is there any sign that assures me [that he is the Imam]?'
At that moment, the child began to speak fluent Arabic:
'I am al-Baqiyyatullah, who will take revenge upon God’s enemies. O Ahmad ibn Ishaq, now that you see with your own eyes, do not ask for [further] signs.' "
