The Truly Blessed
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
«"Blessed is the person whose awareness of their own flaws keeps them from looking for the faults of fellow believers. Blessed is the one who lives with moderation, gives generously from what is beyond their needs, and keeps their tongue from pointless or harmful speech."»
Reflection
This beautiful saying highlights three qualities of truly blessed people:
1. They focus on improving themselves, not criticizing others.
A wise person spends more time working on their own character than pointing out the mistakes of others. When we honestly recognize our own shortcomings, we become more humble, compassionate, and less judgmental.
2. They live with balance and generosity.
Islam encourages a balanced way of life—avoiding both wastefulness and stinginess. Those who are truly blessed meet their needs with moderation and willingly share what they have with those in need.
3. They guard their words.
Many personal and social problems begin with careless speech. Avoiding gossip, slander, insults, and meaningless talk is a sign of wisdom, maturity, and reverence for God.

I'm at home.We have electricity.We have air conditioning too.But I've kept a bottle of ice-cold water beside me so I can splash it on my face and head to cool myself down.
I just can't bring myself to use electricity and the air conditioner...
Yeah, I know!It probably has some weird psychological disorder name in Western psychology.
The same psychology that says:"You're what matters. Just think about yourself. Live in the moment. You're not responsible for other people. If something or someone makes you unhappy, let them go. Cut toxic people out of your life, even if it's your mother or father. No one is sacred. Don't limit your own freedoms. The essence of life is your own pleasure."...and a whole lot of other nonsense.
After all, no one in the jungle of Western barbarism has ever killed their own children. It was they who killed—and still kill—the children of Native Americans, Indigenous Canadians, and indigenous peoples all over the world.
Because that's what they enjoy.Just for fun, for example, they'll sink an unarmed, peaceful civilian ship in the middle of the sea in the middle of the night, far from any shore.
Then the Western psychological pose comes to their rescue again, saying: "You should be nice. If you get upset about our deceitful and criminal actions, you'll be putting peace at risk. Don't fight back, so we won't kill even more of you. Otherwise, you're the warmongers."
