Podcast autobiography of the Martyr Leader Part four This is the President’s Parents' HouseMy father and mother stayed in this very house—in the Sarshour market—until the end of their lives. Even during my presidency, their life was ordinary and conventional. I was the president, and the facilities of this country, to the extent available to the president, were at my disposal; but they had no expectation whatsoever that their son, president of the time, should improve this house or give it a facelift.
My father lived there until 1986, and my mother until the end of my presidency; but this house underwent no changes whatsoever during this time, it never occurred to them or to us to repair the house or spruce it up. If they had wanted to change the house, perhaps I could have somehow arranged it, but they neither wanted it, nor expressed it, nor did it even cross their minds. Nor even when one of the neighbors built a tall building overlooking this house, and my mother couldn’t go to the courtyard without a chador. Someone told us it would be good if you tell them not to do it; we sent a message, but they didn’t listen! Their action was illegal, but in the end, we had no legal recourse, and there wasn’t enough motivation to pressure this neighbor to make his building one meter shorter.
Sometime after my mother’s passing, one of our friends bought this house and turned it into a Husseiniyeh and endowed it in the name of our late father, “Husseiniyeh of the Late Ayatollah Seyyed Javad Khamenei.” After a while, they bought the neighboring house too and connected it to the Husseiniyeh, creating a large hall where rozeh recitations (elegy recitals) are now held.

شهید امام خامنهای:امروز آمریکا در رأس یک مجموعهى استکبارى، در این منطقه، از ضعف مسلمانها دارد استفاده میکند. چرا باید بیایند در منطقهى اسلامى ــ اسلامىِ محض ــ و به بهانهى منافع خودشان و تأمین منافع خودشان، یک چنین وضعیّت رقّتبار و فاجعهآمیزى را به وجود بیاورند؟ چرا آمریکا باید جرئت کند چنین کارى را انجام بدهد؟ اگر مسلمانها، ملّتها و دولتها همه با هم مىایستادند، نمیشد و این حادثهى فجیع به وقوع نمیپیوست.

@whoiskhamenei۲️ Martyr Ayatollah Khamenei:Islam has also taught us this: Whenever aspirations are spoken of, Islam has always considered the Hereafter — other than the Day of Resurrection — that is, the long-term aspirations more valuable than the worldly aspirations. It is good that we understand and reiterate the meaning of the world and the Hereafter: The world does not only mean life within this limited sphere, and the Hereafter does not mean life after death. All of the small, lowly, narrow, factional and personal aspirations are “the world”, and all great, and universal aspirations —those pertaining to the Islamic Umma, justice, anti-imperialism, and the liberation of the oppressed— are “the Hereafter.”
