Difference Between *“drop out” and “be expelled”
1) معنی drop out
Drop out یعنی داوطلبانه ترک کردن مدرسه یا دانشگاه.
I dropped out of university.
من دانشگاه را ترک کردم.
در این جمله، خود شخص تصمیم گرفته است که ادامه ندهد.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) چرا “I was dropped out” غلط است؟
I was dropped out.
فعل drop out یک intransitive verb است.
یعنی مفعول نمیگیرد و به همین دلیل در حالت passive استفاده نمیشود.
پس نمیتوانیم بگوییم:
I was dropped out of university.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3) اگر تصمیم خودت باشد
از drop out استفاده میکنیم.
I dropped out of university.
She dropped out of college last year.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4) اگر تصمیم دانشگاه باشد
باید از فعلهای دیگر استفاده کنیم:
be expelled → اخراج شدن
He was expelled from university.
be forced to leave → مجبور به ترک شدن
She was forced to leave university.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
نکته مهم
drop out = your decision
expelled / forced to leave = institution's decision*

When Sara started university, she believed she had chosen the perfect major. At first, everything seemed exciting. She enjoyed meeting new people and learning new things. However, after a year, she slowly began to realize that she wasn’t truly interested in her field of study.
Many of her friends encouraged her to continue, saying that changing her path would be risky. For a while, Sara tried to ignore her doubts and focus on her classes. Nevertheless, the feeling never disappeared.
Eventually, she made a difficult decision. She dropped out of university and started taking online courses in digital design, something she had always been passionate about. At the beginning, she was worried about what people might say, but over time she became more confident in her choice.
Today, Sara works as a freelance designer and often tells students an important lesson: sometimes the hardest decisions lead to the most rewarding paths.

Subject + 'd like + Noun
-
۲. ساختار با فعل (Would like + to + verb)
برای وقتی که میخواهید کاری انجام دهید یا هدفی دارید.
- ساختار: Subject + 'd like + to + verb
-
۳. چطور سوال بپرسیم؟
برای پرسیدن مودبانه، کافی است جای جایِ Would* را با فاعل عوض کنید.
- *ساختار: Would + Subject + like (+ to + verb)?
-
۴. سوالاتِ Wh- (اطلاعات دقیقتر)
وقتی میخواهید جزئیات بیشتری بپرسید.
- ساختار: Wh-word + would + Subject + like...?
