On December 26th, UIS organized a trip to Jamkaran and Qom. We left early by bus, enjoying breakfast and revolutionary songs. Br. Aqeed shared the history of Masjid Jamkaran before our 10:30 AM arrival. After prayers, we explored cultural shops for souvenirs and then headed to the holy shrine of Qom for Zuhr prayers and ziyarat.
A highlight was the 'Ghorme Sabzi' meal provided by the shrine as tabarruk. After lunch, we visited the 'Ahl-ul-Bayt World Assembly' and 'WikiShia' headquarters, learning about their operations and interacting with staff.
Later, we attended a family event by 'Students of Qom (SOQ),' featuring recitations, poetry, and speeches, including one from 'Ayatollah Mohsen Araki.' The event ended around 9:30 PM, and we enjoyed 'Ghorme Sabzi' and 'Ghaime' for our return to Tehran. It was an enlightening day with the international students.
